Obituary for Brian Thomas White

Brian Thomas White, 27, died tragically on April 23, 2008. He used his extraordinary skills as a pilot to avoid taking the lives of others. He graduated from Chaparral High School in 1999 and Arizona State University in 2005 with a degree in Aeronautical Management Technology.

Brian was always the life of the party and his laughter was infectious. He was a devoted husband to his lovely wife Lauren whom he knew since middle school. He has been eagerly awaiting the birth of his daughter Mackenzie. We knew what an amazing dad he would have been just from seeing his nieces and nephews count the minutes until he would come over, playing for hours on end.

Brian initiated numerous family gatherings, barbecues, skiing, camping, trips to the lake, and many fun times together. He entertained everyone with jokes and stories. He became a serious student when he began his studies in aviation where he spent countless hours learning every aspect of becoming a professional pilot.

Brian was an accomplished athlete and loved sports, especially ASU football. He was a dedicated fan traveling the country with his Dad and his brothers-in-law to cheer on the Sun Devils. He was a regular fixture at ASU tailgate parties.

He is loved and deeply missed by his wife Lauren, daughter Mackenzie (expected in June), beloved dog Baylie, parents Bruce and Claire, sisters and brothers-in-law Lisa and Eric Latto, Kristin and Bryan Idleman, nieces and nephew Reese and Hannah Latto, and Peyton and Erin Idleman, In-Laws, Nancy and John Shamy and numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

A celebration of Brian's life will be held Saturday May 3 at 1 p.m. at Paradise Valley Community Church, 4242 E. Greenway Parkway, Phoenix. Donations may be made to Chase Bank for Mackenzie White, Acct. #27439003300 or at www.mackenziewhitetrust.com. Tempe Mortuary assisting with arrangements.
